I remember going to camp when I was a kid. It was so exciting but there was so much to do to get ready! I had to make sure that I had everything from my sleeping bag, to tooth brush, to sunscreen to....well you get the idea. When you go to camp you need a lot of stuff so it was a great relief when Jodi Simpson of Harrison Pensa organised her colleagues around getting the camping gear together for 8 of our youth to go to Edgewood Camp, thanks to Lutheran Social Services who sponsored the spots.
The amazing folks from HP came up with sleeping bags, knapsacks, and so much more.
We are grateful to Harrison Pensa for helping our campers to have summer adventure at Edgewood Camp!

Community’s in Bloom has a program called “School in Bloom”. The City of London has received 140 flats of annual flowers for this program. We are looking for volunteers to touch base with their local school(s) in their neighbourhood and see if they would like to partner with them to plant, water and maintain these flowers. The plants would also need to be planted very soon. The school will also receive a Certificate for participating in the School in Bloom program.
If you have a school in you neighbourhood and are interested in contacting them regarding adding “colour and beauty” to their school yard, please contact Greg Sandle at gsandle@london.ca and he will work with you to have the flowers delivered to your neighbourhood school.
